If you’ve got an eye for style, a lot of spare time to do nothing, a sunny garden and $2000 to spare then let me introduce “Hammy”. Quite simply the ultimate in luxury hammocks. Though not a hammock in the traditional sense but more of a crossbreed between a hammock and a sun lounger.
Designed by Chris Jamison, a graduate of the southern Carolina Institute of Architecture. He states that you can’t improve on the comfort a hammock offers, “but there’s a lot you can do with the stand”.
It does hold a number of advantages a over more traditional swing hammock in that it is just 8.5 feet long much shorter than other hammocks and may be an ideal choice for those gardens where space is at a premium.
The hammock stand is constructed of a powder coated steel frame and the hammock is made of a Batyline mesh, which offers a degre
e of breadability so you won’t feel clammy after spending some time relaxing on it.
Though it doesn’t offer the soothing swinging motion of other hammocks, it does however mean it won’t flip over and leave you face down in the grass.
Chris has also included aluminum and white oak into the base of the hammock stand and has even added an integrated plant tray, which he says is ideal for any shade loving flowers or herbs.
The only other design feature is a drinks holder which I can assure you won’t find on any other garden hammocks.

And now for the price, he plans to retail it on his plywood office site for $1900, which in truth isn’t cheap,
but not only are you paying for the culprit this hammock offers, but this is a essentially a piece of modern design which wouldn’t look out of place in the homes of the rich and famous so I guess that is where you’re going to find most of the “Hammy Hammocks” and if you have that kind of money to spare why
not treat yourself, I know I would
